Acting for TV - Scenework Essentials - Screen Acting Courses

Advanced - A professional level course - 4 weeks
This advanced course further develops the craft of acting, and picks up where the intermediate course leaves off. The focus of the course will be divided, half on the craft of acting, and the other half on acting for the camera. The course will emphasize the rehearsal process as well as the product for camera. You will learn how to do a full voice workout which will support the actor in fundamental voice training. You will work on scenes from screenplay that you will be asked to read before the course begins. You will walk away with scenes on tape that can be used as part of your show reel.

Pre-requisites:
This course is designed specifically for actors who have studied and completed diploma or bachelor level courses in a theatre programme, or who are currently working as a professional actor. Application from those who have attended Kim's Intermediate scenework essentials course will also be considered. All applications should be sent along with a CV stating your training and experience.

Course Director:
Kim Krejus is an AFI nominee and an extremely experienced and committed acting teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge with her from having studied at the world's best acting schools. She has studied at NIDA, the Drama Centre in London, at the HB studios in New York with Uta Hagan and with Phillipe Gaulier in Paris as well as the prestigious Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School in NY.
Whilst living in the US she toured the country in the Broadway production "Noises Of" and since returning to Australia has worked on many Australian productions including CBS telemovie "The Flood" for Warner Bros and has been employed as an acting coach on feature film "Aquamarine" for Fox Studios. She has taught at NIDA, VCA, Central Queensland Uni and the National Theatre and is qualified to teach Practical Aesthetics technique in Victoria.
In 2009 Kim returned from Los Angeles where she trained under master acting coach Ivana Chubbuck who has trained proffessional actors such as Halle Berry, Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron (to name a few), Kim has been endorsed to train the Ivana Chubbuck technique in Australia.
